Dallas Cowboys Fantasy Football Week 6: Fan Preview

Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the Dallas Cowboys' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.

    Tony Romo, QB

Romo finished Week 4 scoring just 11.28 fantasy points in a loss to the Chicago Bears. This week he faces a Baltimore Ravens' defense that has given up an average of just 12.69 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Romo has been painfully inconsistent this season but the Baltimore defense has the ability to be scored on. Look for around 16.00 fantasy points this week.

    DeMarco Murray, RB

Murray finished Week 4 earning 8.10 fantasy points against the Bears. This week he faces a Baltimore defense that has allowed an average of 18.74 fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Murray has been somewhat disappointing this season but has a chance to turn it around against Baltimore. He has a favorable matchup that should have him seeing at least 9.00 fantasy points this week.

    Dez Bryant, WR

Bryant had his best fantasy performance of the season in Week four against the Bears scoring 12.50 fantasy points. This week he faces a Ravens' defense that has given up an average of 20.60 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Bryant has a very good matchup and is worth starting despite some disappointing fantasy numbers this season. Look for at least 8.00 fantasy points on the day.

    Miles Austin, WR

Austin finished Week 4 earning 11.70 fantasy points against Chicago. This week he shares the favorable matchup against Baltimore with Bryant. Austin has been the Cowboys' most reliable and consistent receiver from a fantasy perspective. His hamstring issue looks to be resolved leaving him poised for another strong game. Look for at least 11.00 fantasy points this week.

    Defense

Dallas finished Week 4 earning 4.00 fantasy points against the Bears. This week they face a Baltimore team that has given up an average of just 5.00 fantasy points per game to team defense this season. While facing off against Baltimore is usually a poor matchup, Joe Flacco is getting sacked often. As long Dallas can contain Ray Rice and shut down Torrey Smith, a 7.00 fantasy point game is possible.
