NHL veteran defenseman Sean O'Donnell announced his retirement Wednesday. O'Donnell, 41, played in 51 regular-season and six playoff games for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2011-12, but teams showed little interest in him after the lockout delayed the start of this season, TSN reported. The journeyman O'Donnell was a part of two Stanley Cup finals during a career that spanned more than 1,200 regular-season games with nine teams. He finished with 31 goals and 198 assists.
