Current Bellator fighter and former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, 38, was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-car collision in West Los Angeles, according to a California Highway Patrol press release.
Ortiz was arrested at 4:37 a.m. PT, after his 2012 Porsche Panamera crashed on I-405 with him driving and two passengers in the car. The car suffered damage, but none of the occupants were injured.
“Ortiz was driving northbound on the I-405 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the concrete center median,” read the CHP press release.
Ortiz was taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and transported to a South-Central Los Angeles jail for booking. He was released at 8:13 a.m. PT after posting bail of $15,000.
Ortiz is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles municipal court for the incident on Jan. 27 at 8:30 a.m.
