The Chicago Cubs announced plans Saturday for a five-year, $300 million renovation to Wrigley Field. It is not clear how it will be funded but owner Tom Ricketts said he is confident the renovations can start as early as October, starting with the home clubhouse. Crane Kenney, the Cubs president of business operations, said Ricketts will pay for the project if the city limits restrictions. The project would be worked on during the offseason so that the team will not have to look for a temporary home.
