Cubs' Fujikawa back on disabled list

The SportsXchange

The Chicago Cubs placed pitcher Kyuji Fujikawa on the 15-day disabled list for the second time this season on Monday. Both times he was put on the DL because of a strained right forearm.

Fujikawa, 32, has a 1-1 record, a 5.25 ERA and two saves to go along with 14 strikeouts and two walks in his 12 innings of work this season.

He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday.

The Cubs signed him to a two-year, $9.5 million contract in the offseason after he had spent his entire career in Japan.

.Right-handed pitcher Alex Burnett, who was claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles earlier today, has been added to the active roster.
