Cubs Catcher PITCHES After Game Stretches To 16 Innings [VIDEO]

The Cubs are bad this year. Like epically bad. So bad they’re barely worth watching (and I’ve been a fan since I can remember). But they do have one rising star on the roster.

Of course I’m talking about Catcher John Baker (who?). Baker came into the 16th inning of Tuesday night’s game against the Colorado Rockies to pitch because the Cubs. Obviously Cubs Manager Rick Renteria had given up at that point and just wanted to go home.

Or did he? Baker killed it on the mound with a scoreless inning and a 74 mph heater.

You want more? Well alright then. In the bottom of the inning when the Cubs won, Baker scored the winning run before dropping the mic and basically becoming Ernie Banks overnight.
