Sidney Crosby, Carey Price, P.K. Subban and Connor McDavid will represent their respective divisions as captains for the 2017 NHL All-Star 3-on-3 tournament later this month in Los Angeles following a month-long fan vote.

Crosby, Price and McDavid led their divisions since the NHL opened voting in December. Patrick Kane was the Central Division leader after Week 1, but was leapfrogged by Subban after the next round of results.

The question now becomes will Subban be healthy enough to participate. The Nashville Predators announced over the weekend that the defenseman, who hasn’t played since Dec. 15, will miss another 2-to-3 weeks with an upper-body injury. Both Subban and GM David Poile sounded optimistic on Tuesday that he would be back by the middle of the month. It would be his third All-Star appearance.

For Crosby, should he participate, it will be the first time he plays in an All-Star Game since the 2007 event in Dallas. Injuries knocked him out for in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2015. McDavid, meanwhile, will be suiting up for his first.

All-Star Weekend will once again see the Skills Competition take place on Sat., Jan. 28 with the 3-on-3 tournament set for Sun., Jan 29. The league will continue its centennial celebration on Fri., Jan 27 with the announcement of the remaining 67 greatest NHL players following their reveal of the first 33, which took place prior to Sunday’s outdoor game in Toronto.
