Cowboys' WR Bryant had permission to be out past curfew

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant had permission to be out past his mandated midnight curfew, ESPN Dallas reported Saturday.

The troubled Bryant has several guidelines he must follow from the team and his advisor, David Wells, because of his July arrest for domestic violence.

Bryant was seen at a Dallas nightclub Friday night celebrating his birthday, which is Sunday. A photo on Twitter claimed Bryant was with former Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West and free agent forward Josh Howard after midnight.

One of Bryant's conditions is that he cannot stay out past midnight. However, Wells confirmed that Bryant had permission to be out past his curfew.

"He had a security person there with him and some of his teammates were there too," Wells said Saturday.

The Cowboys play at the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

Wells said that Bryant arrived on time for a Saturday morning walkthrough practice and another source told ESPN Dallas that he was expected to participate in that session. Bryant is listed as questionable on the team's injury report with a sore hip.

Team officials were not available for comment regarding Bryant getting prior approval to be out past his curfew.

Bryant was arrested on a misdemeanor for an incident involving his mother. He was not available for comment.

Bryant has 41 catches for 488 yards with two touchdowns this season.
