Cowboys TE Witten named to Pro Bowl

The SportsXchange

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten will replace Julius Thomas of the Denver Broncos on the Pro Bowl roster.

Thomas, the Broncos' tight end, is playing in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in Meadowlands, N.J.

The Pro Bowl is Sunday in Honolulu.

Witten made 73 catches for 851 yards with eight touchdowns in 2013. He has played in 171 consecutive games.

Witten, a nine-time Pro Bowler, joins wide receiver Dez Bryant and left tackle Tyron Smith as the other Cowboys in the league's annual all-star game.
