Cowboys Beat Redskins, 44-17
DeMarco Murray established the ground game, paving the way to a lopsided victory for the Cowboys over the hapless Redskins, 44-17, at FedEx Field.
Tony Romo accounted for two scores against the Redskins on 22 of 34 passing for 299 yards and one pick. On the Redskins side, Robert Griffin III went 27 for 41 with 336 yards passing, two touchdowns (1 pass, 1 rush), two picks and one fumble.
Murray was a standout player for the Cowboys, rushing for 100 yards on 20 attempts with a touchdown in addition to three receptions for 21 yards. Dez Bryant was a top receiver, catching four passes for 99 yards with two touchdowns.
The Dallas defensive unit led the way to a victory, giving up 104 yards rushing and 336 passing while taking back one fumble for a touchdown. They brought down Griffin III for three sacks.
Finally, Dan Bailey was perfect, making all three of his field goal attempts.
Redskins tight end Jordan Reed gave a standout effort with 70 receiving yards. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson also gave a strong effort with 86 receiving yards and one touchdown.
