The Cowboys have signed RB Chauncey Washington to their active roster, a sign the team believes RB Felix Jones might not be ready to play on Saturday vs. the Eagles.
Washington, who had been on the team's practice squad for much of the season, has spent time in the NFL with the Jaguars and Rams, as well as Dallas. He has four career carries.
Jones took over as the Cowboys' starting running back when rookie DeMarco Murray fractured his right ankle in Week 14 and has registered back-to-back 100-yard games. However, he has been hobbled by a sore hamstring and is listed as questionable.
The team released reserve OG Daniel Loper to create room on the roster for Washington.
