As far as a weekend is concerned, I do not think any in recent memory have gone as fast as this one did. Hopefully everyone reading this had a nice slow weekend filled with relaxation and very little stress.

We once again had a valiant effort on Yahoo where “Tyler G” answered the first four questions correctly but faltered on the final question. Sadly nobody is worthy of a prize once again this week.

For readers new to this article; on Friday, cover32 comes up with five questions and on Monday the answers are revealed. This week, the questions were of the “who am I” variety where the player “describes” themselves with clues, the readers then get to guess who the player is.

Here are the answers to the Trivia Blitz from Friday, March 3rd:

Question One

1. “I was the number-one-overall selection in a NFL draft. I played quarterback for the team that drafted me my entire career. Although I was MVP of the Sugar Bowl and had a promising young career, I am considered one of the biggest busts in NFL history. Who am I?”

“I am none other than the former LSU standout, JaMarcus Russell. I showed promise coming out of college yet never materialized into the player the Raiders had hoped for.”

Question Two

2. “I was the number-one-overall selection in a NFL draft. My 1,934 rushing yards in 1980 is the eighth-best in the history of the NFL. I am also a member of the college and pro football Halls of Fame. Who am I?”

“I am none other than ‘The Tyler Rose’, Earl Campbell. For those of you too young to know who I am, you may want to take five minutes out of your day and watch this.”

Question Three

3. “I was the number-one-overall selection in a NFL draft. Although I have thrown 65 touchdowns and 71 interceptions, I am a Super Bowl Champion. I was also the first selection ever for a certain franchise. Who am I?”

“I am none other than David Carr. I was the Texans’ very first ever draft choice in 2002. I was sacked way too many times and never amounted to what I had hoped for but I did win a Super Bowl with the New York Giants.”

Question Four

4. “I was the number-one-overall selection in a NFL draft. Although I only have 2,872 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns, many consider me one of the best ever. I know you know who I am because I just know. Who am I?”

“It is quite obvious that I am Oakland Raiders’ legend, Bo Jackson. It’s truly hard to believe I went to more MLB All-Star games than I did NFL Pro Bowls.”

Question Five

5. “I have the top passer rating of any quarterback, in the six games leading up to the Super Bowl. Who am I?”

“I am Matt Ryan. I just overtook this record after this past year’s brilliant postseason I had.”

Finish

Did everyone know the answers and not feel like commenting about them? Was “Tyler G” seriously the only individual that had the gumption to respond to our little article? Eventually someone will get all five correct to be worthy of our fantastic prizes.

Be sure to check back on Friday to see if you have what it takes against our Trivia Blitz.
