Coughlin addresses viral video of Giants' prank

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was asked Sunday about a video of CB Prince Amukamara getting thrown into a tub of ice water by DE Jason Pierre-Paul that was posted on a social-media website by P Steve Weatherford and went viral Saturday night.

The video shows Pierre-Paul carrying Amukamara over his shoulder down a hallway, with a bunch of teammates egging him on, then entering a doorway into a room with cold tubs before throwing Amukamara into the water. The video shows an obviously angry Amukamara get out of the tub while Pierre-Paul laughs and trash-talks Amukamara using foul language.

"I’m learning about that today, I really didn’t have any information about that until maybe an hour ago, an hour before this conference call," Coughlin said when asked about the video and the fact that it was posted online. "I’m going to look into it; I’m going to talk to the parties involved. As I understand it, there were some parts that were inappropriate, and anything that occurs within this family or within our group should not be a part of any social media aspect. I’m going to address that strongly, and I’ve spent a little time on that this preseason, but I’ll look into it further."
