Carlos Tevez scored twice in the first half as the reigning Serie A champion beat Parma 2-1 to stretch its current unbeaten run to 14 in all competitions and end the visitor's own run of 17 league matches without defeat.
Conte praised his team - destined for a third successive Scudetto - after the victory for the effort and level of performance they have put in this year and says they are having an “extraordinary” campaign.
“This was a wonderful victory against a team that was unbeaten in 17 games and they showed their strength tonight,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “You don’t go on a run like that if you don’t have quality. I have run out of words to praise the team for playing every three days with no room for rotation.
“I know the players are pushing all the way and some need to rest, but we can’t afford to do that just now. So far the campaign has been extraordinary, but as I always say records aren’t worth much if you don’t get something tangible at the end of it.
“This team deserves a trophy, as they often even surprise me.”
Tevez was booked which means he is suspended for the next tie against Napoli, but Conte says they can cover for the loss of the Argentine striker.
“Carlos won’t be there, but we will have someone else. We try to get the best out of the individuals via the collective.
“We are relaxed, especially after this victory over an excellent side.”
Parma had not been beaten in Serie A since November 2, when Roberto Donadoni's men were defeated on home turf by the Bianconeri.
