The University of South Florida began competing in football in 1997. Even in this short time, USF has sent many players to the NFL. The Bulls compete in the Big East Conference and share Raymond James Stadium with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Be sure to check out my top 10 list of the best Bulls in the NFL of all time.
Top three Bulls in the NFL:
1, Jason Pierre-Paul , DE, New York Giants: Jason Pierre-Paul (photos) only played one season at USF, but he showed Bulls fans his dominant pass rushing ability. The Giants drafted Pierre-Paul in the first round of the 2010 draft. His second season was his breakout year. In 2011, Pierre-Paul recorded 16.5 sacks, forcing two fumbles and making 86 tackles. The 2011 season was more than a statistical breakout season; Pierre-Paul was the defensive star on the Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
2. Stephen Nicholas , LB, Atlanta Falcons: Stephen Nicholas (photo) stood out as a star among the best linebacker corps that the USF Bulls have ever had. He was fierce as a run stopper, but gifted athletically to drop back in to pass coverage or rush the quarterback. He is in his sixth season with the Falcons where he has recorded over 250 tackles, five sacks, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions. Nicholas has started out the 2012 season the right way with 12 tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery in Week 1 as the Falcons beat the Kansas City Chiefs .
3. Mike Jenkins , CB, Dallas Cowboys: Mike Jenkins (photos) was a lock-down corner and star kick returner for USF. Each week, he would be asked to shut down the best receiver on that week's opposition. It came as little surprise to Bulls fans when Jenkins became the program's first ever first-round draft pick when the Cowboys took him with the 25th pick in 2008. For the Cowboys, he has 137 tackles and eight interceptions. His best season in the NFL was 2009 when he picked off five passes.

Jerome Murphy, CB, New Orleans Saints
Mistral Raymond, S, Minnesota Vikings
