FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- Brett Comer scored 24 points, and Florida Gulf Coast pulled away after halftime to defeat Lipscomb 75-62 on Wednesday.
Comer tied his career high before he sat out the final 10:41 with four fouls.
The Eagles (8-7, 2-0 Atlantic Sun) started conference play 2-0 for the first time. Bernard Thompson and DaJuan Graf each added 13 points for FGCU, a career high for Graf.
Twins Martin and Malcolm Smith led Lipscomb (5-8, 0-2) with 20 and 15 points, respectively. The Bisons were outrebounded 41-31 and were not effective from 3-point range, hitting just 9 of 25 - 3 for 10 after halftime. J.C. Hampton hit 4 of 7 3-pointers for 14 points.
On FCGU's first possession, Comer found Bernard Thompson on the wing for a 3-pointer to collect his 500th career assist.
