Colts part ways with Freeney, Collie

The Indianapolis Colts have turned the page on two more veterans from the Peyton Manning Era, as Bob Kravitz of the Indy Star reports that veteran pass rusher Dwight Freeney and wide receiver Austin Collie have been told they won't be brought back in 2013.

Both players are at the end of their contracts, per the report.

Freeney, a standout defensive end for most of his tenure as a Colt, was made into a 3-4 linebacker when Chuck Pagano took over as head coach last season.

Collie was once one of Peyton Manning's favorite targets, but his career has been plagued by concussions. He missed most of 2012 with a knee injury.
