Colin Miller is Canada's new head coach.

For now.

The Canadian Soccer Association announced Miller's appointment as interim boss of the men's national team Monday, putting an end to speculation as to who would lead the team as it continues its search for a permanent head coach.

Miller, who recently took over the coaching reigns at NASL club FC Edmonton, will guide the national team through a January training camp that includes two friendlies. Canada will face Denmark in Tucson, Arizona, on Jan. 26 before heading to Houston for a meeting with the United States three days later.

“It has always been a privilege to represent Canada, as a player, team captain and coach, and I look forward to taking on the role of interim head coach for a second time,” Miller said in a statement. “I am honoured to have been selected by the Canadian Soccer Association, and thank FC Edmonton’s organization, particularly owner Tom Fath, for its support in this process.”

The former Canadian international has served as interim bench boss before, helming the team in 2003 and 2004.
