HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Colgate snapped a three-game losing streak by registering a surprising 64-60 upset of Lehigh in a Patriot League game at Cotterell Court on Saturday. The victory gave the Raiders a 10-17 overall record and 4-6 in the league, while Lehigh's four-game winning streak ended and the Mountain Hawks fell to 18-6 and 8-2. Lehigh coach Brett Reed will have to wait for another game to claim his school-record 113th career victory. Murphy Burnatowski spoiled that by leading Colgate with 19 points, and Pat Moore added 17. Gabe Knutson and Anthony D'Orazio led Lehigh with 17 points each and Holden Greiner chipped in with 11. Colgate held off a furious Lehigh second-half charge, which tied the score, 56-56, D'Orazio's 3-pointer with 3:04 left to play. But Mitch Rolls hit four free throws in the last seven seconds of the game to seal it for Colgate, which connected on its last eight free throws. The game seemed to be over by halftime. The Red Raiders took a 41-25 lead into intermission, leading at one time, 38-16, on Moore's layup with 4:04 left in the half. Colgate broke up what had been a close game early with a 16-0 run. Moore played a key role in the five-and-a-half minute stretch, scoring eight points on a two 3hree-pointers and two free throws.
