Cody could miss start of Ravens camp

Nose guard Terrence Cody tells the Baltimore Sun he is making progress in his recovery from off-season hip surgery.

But that progress might not be enough to allow him to be ready for the start of the Baltimore Ravens' training camp.

"I don't know yet," Cody said during a fundraiser hosted by teammate Jameel McClain. "We'll know once it gets closer to camp time, but I think I'm going to take my time, though."

However, when asked if he would be ready to start the regular season, Cody replied "Probably so."

To hedge their bet, the Ravens drafted Brandon Williams in the third round this year, and also signed free agents Marcus Spears and Chris Canty to bolster the interior of the defensive line.
