Last month, Cobra Golf added a special limited-edition green driver to its family of BiO Cell clubs. Now, the company is at it again, this time rolling out another special edition -- this one a Pro version of its flagship big stick.
The titanium head of the BiO Cell Pro driver measures 440cc -- making it slightly smaller than the 460cc head of the standard model -- and is engineered to deliver more distance and workability, the company says. The key to that increased distance, they explain, is the extremely low center of gravity that promotes faster ball speeds, lower spin and a higher launch.
"This Pro Driver was designed for golfers with a strong swing that yields high launch and high spin," said Director of Product Marketing Jose Miraflor. "To help these golfers play at their best, we created the BiO Cell Pro driver, our lowest CG ever to deliver unmatched distance and performance."

Like the other members of the BiO Cell family, the Pro utilizes Cobra's MyFly8 adjustable loft technology, which allows golfers to choose from eight loft/trajectory settings, while its SmartPad delivers a square face at address regardless of the loft/trajectory setting. It also uses Cobra's E9 Face technology to remove weight from the face and reposition it low and back to deliver increased distance.
The BiO Cell Pro Driver carries a suggested retail price of $399, and is available in a right-handed version. It features a Lamkin ACE 3Gen 360 Grip along with a Matrix Red-Tie 6Q3 shaft in regular, stiff and x-stiff. Golfers also can choose from the Diamana D+ 72 or the PXV Tour 52 custom shaft options at no extra charge. And because it's from Cobra, you know it comes in several bold color choices -- Black, Blue Aster and Vibrant Orange.
