Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the Cleveland Browns' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.
Brandon Weeden, QB
Weeden finished the week earning 16.54 fantasy points in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals. This week he faces an Indianapolis Colts' defense that has given up an average of 17.32 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Weeden has a solid matchup this week but is still considered a weak play due to his rocky start and the fact he has thrown a ton of picks this season. In any case, look for at least 13.00 fantasy points on the week.
Trent Richardson, RB
Richardson finished the week earning just 5.40 fantasy points against the Bengals, primarily due to a rib injury that had him missing a majority of the game. He has been limited in practice this week but is expected to be ready to go come Sunday. This week he faces a Colts' defense that has allowed an average of 26.52 fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Richardson has a great matchup this week. Provided he gets the majority of the touches on the ground look for at least 12.00 fantasy points this week.
Josh Gordon, WR
Gordon finished the week earning 15.90 fantasy points against the Bengals. This week he faces a Colts' defense that has given up an average of 27.18 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Gordon not only had a great week against the Bengals but also scored 20.20 fantasy points the week prior against the New York Giants. Look for Gordon to continue to be a favorite target of Weeden and score at least 8.00 fantasy points on the week.
Greg Little, WR
Little finished the week earning just 1.80 fantasy points against the Bengals. This week he shares the favorable matchup with the rest of the Browns' receivers however that means little for Little who has played so poorly this season, his targets have been extremely limited. If Little remains on your roster, ask yourself why?
Cleveland finished the week earning 16.00 fantasy points against Cincinnati. This week they face and Indianapolis team that has given up an average of 8.00 fantasy points to team defense this season. While this may not be the best overall matchup of the week the Browns have star cornerback Joe Haden back in the lineup and face a rookie quarterback in Andrew Luck who has very little receiving options available outside of Reggie Wayne. Look for 8.00 fantasy points from Cleveland this week.
