CLEMSON, S.C. -- Tajh Boyd became only the second quarterback in Atlantic Coast Conference history to surpass 100 touchdowns -- passing and rushing combined -- in his college career as No. 3 Clemson cruised to an easy 56-7 win over Wake Forest on Saturday.

Boyd passed for three touchdowns and 311 yards, and rushed for 69 yards and a fourth touchdown in the game, putting him at 102 now in his career.

Boyd's TD passes went for 75 yards to D.J. Howard, 64 yards to Sammy Watkins and 14 yards to Mike Williams.

Boyd and former North Carolina State quarterback Philip Rivers, now with the NFL's San Diego Chargers, are the only two quarterbacks in conference history to account for 100 or more touchdowns both passing and rushing.

Boyd also became the total offense leader in Clemson school history, passing Charlie Whitehurst.

Clemson has now won its first four games to start a season for the second time in Boyd's three years as a starter for the Tigers (4-0, 2-0).

Wake Forest, meanwhile, remains winless in conference play (0-2) and 2-3 overall.
