Butler's leading scorer, Rotnei Clarke, has been cleared to play and is expected to be in the lineup when the ninth-ranked Bulldogs play Temple Saturday night. Clarke suffered a serious neck sprain when he crashed into a padded basketball support in a victory against Dayton on Jan. 12. The Bulldogs have gone 2-1 in the three games the senior guard has missed. "Rotnei has remained symptom free, and he's gone through full-contact practice with the team," the school's head trainer said in a statement released on Friday. "As long as there are no unexpected changes, he's cleared to begin playing in games." Prior to being injured, Clarke was averaging 16.3 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from 3-point range. Butler had won 13 games in a row before losing to La Salle on Wednesday.
