Cincinnati headed to Belk Bowl

Cincinnati's chances for a BCS game berth ended when it lost to Louisville in overtime on Thursday, and on Friday it announced it will play in the Belk Bowl.

Cincinnati head coach Tommy Tuberville made the announcement on Twitter, noting that the Bearcats will not know their opponent until Sunday.

The Belk Bowl will be played Dec. 28 in Charlotte, N.C. Cincinnati played in the Belk Bowl last year, defeating Duke 48-34.

Cincinnati's loss to Louisville ensured that Central Florida will be the American Athletic Conference's representative in a BCS game.
