The Cincinnati defense had no answer for A.J. Green, but it would prove not enough to avoid a late loss for the Bengals against the Ravens, 20-17, at M&T Bank Stadium.
Andy Dalton completed 24 of 51 passes for 274 yards, two touchdowns and three picks. Joe Flacco finished 20 for 36 with 140 yards passing, two touchdowns, two picks and one fumble for the Ravens.
Giovani Bernard was a standout player for the Bengals, rushing for 58 yards on 14 attempts and had eight receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. Green was a highlight, catching eight balls for 151 yards with a touchdown.
The Cincinnati defense played tough in the loss, keeping the Ravens in check with 85 yards rushing and 140 passing while coming away with two interceptions. They manhandled Flacco with five sacks.
Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith churned out 46 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Bengals host the Browns (4-5) while the Ravens head to Chicago to face the Bears (5-4).
