A.J. Green had a big night, but it wasn't enough to avoid a late loss for the Bengals against the Dolphins, 22-20, in Miami Gardens.
Andy Dalton went 32 out of 53 for 338 yards passing, no touchdowns, three picks and one fumble. For the Dolphins, Ryan Tannehill wound up 20 for 28 with 208 yards passing, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush) and no interceptions.
Giovani Bernard was a bright spot for the Bengals, running for 79 yards on nine carries while adding two touchdowns and had four receptions for 25 yards. In the fourth quarter, he broke free for a 35-yard score. Green was a leading receiver, hauling in 11 passes for 128 yards.
The Cincinnati defense played well in the loss, giving up 157 yards rushing and 208 passing. They sacked Tannehill three times.
Dolphins running back Lamar Miller was impressive, racking up 105 yards rushing and 24 receiving. Wide receiver Mike Wallace also had a good game with 82 receiving yards.
Next week, the Bengals head to Baltimore to face the Ravens (3-4) while the Dolphins go to Tampa to play the Buccaneers (0-7).
