Marvin Jones had a big day for Cincinnati Bengals, leading the way to a lopsided victory for the Bengals over the hapless Jets, 49-9, at home.
A terrific performance from Andy Dalton included five touchdowns on 19 of 30 passing for 325 yards and one pick. In comparison, Geno Smith did not have as good a day for the Jets, going 20 of 30 with 159 yards passing, no touchdowns and two picks.
Giovani Bernard rushed for 18 yards on five attempts. Jones was a top receiver, catching eight balls for 122 yards with four touchdowns.
The Cincinnati defense was the major reason for the victory, taking two interceptions for touchdowns while coming away with an additional two interceptions. They harassed Smith and the Jets offensive line with an imposing four sacks.
Jets wide receiver David Nelson totaled 80 receiving yards.
The Bengals head to Miami Gardens next week to face off with the Dolphins (3-4) while the Jets will play host to the Saints (6-1).
