Chris Gets: Wins Starting Spot

Rotowire.com
Update: Johnny Giavotella was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday, confirming that Getz will be the starting second baseman for the Royals

Recommendation: Getz was already believed to have the edge over Giavotella, and now we know for sure that he will open the year as the starter. Getz doesn't have much upside at the plate, but he has a starting job and could be a cheap source of steals. He's stolen 71 bases and been caught 15 times over a five-year career that has included 1309 plate appearances.
