Chiefs release WR Breaston, TE Boss

The Chiefs released WR Steve Breaston and TE Kevin Boss on Tuesday, the team announced. 

Breaston signed with the Chiefs prior to the 2011 season. He had only seven catches for 74 yards in 10 games (four starts) in 2012. Breaston went 77-1,006-3 with the Cardinals in 2008.

Boss started the first two games of the season in 2012 and had three catches for 65 yards and a score. He missed the rest of the season with a head injury. Boss, 29, has 22 career TD catches.

Breaston was reportedly due close to $4 million in 2013, and Boss was scheduled to make $2.4 million.
