The Kansas City Chiefs hired Chris Ballard as director of player personnel, the team announced Tuesday. "Chris is a tremendous talent evaluator and a great fit for our staff," Chiefs general manager John Dorsey said. "He is well respected across the league, he is a remarkable person and we are pleased he decided to join us." Ballard spent the past 12 seasons with the Chicago Bears. After 11 seasons as southwest area scout, he was promoted in 2012, when he became general manager Phil Emery's director of pro scouting. "This is a tremendous opportunity for me and my family," Ballard said.
