Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston could miss the next two to three weeks with a dislocated right elbow, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
NFL.com reported Houston won't need surgery to repair the injury. Houston was injured in the first half of last Sunday's 41-38 loss to the San Diego Chargers. An MRI revealed sprained ligaments and torn muscles in the elbow.
Houston missed practice Wednesday and likely will not play in this week's showdown with the Denver Broncos, sources told ESPN.com.
The Chiefs (9-2) have lost two straight games after winning their first nine.
The Chiefs' other injured linebacker, Tamba Hali, said Wednesday he should be able to play on Sunday. Hali is battling a slight ankle sprain.
