Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was not present for the opening workout at Kansas City Chiefs training camp Friday.
Bowe had 81 receptions for 1,159 yards and five touchdowns in 2011 and was given the Chiefs' franchise tag in March. He has not yet signed the $9.5 million one-year tender.
Bowe was a first-round pick in 2007, and has 356 career receptions for 4,927 yards and 36 touchdowns.
The Chiefs drafted Jonathan Baldwin in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft. Steve Breaston was the team's second-leading receiver last season with 61 receptions for 785 yards.
