Kansas City placed wide receiver Dwayne Bowe
on season-ending injured reserve Saturday.
Bowe was inadvertently kicked near the end of last Sunday's loss to Cleveland and sustained broken ribs.
In 13 games this season, Bowe caught 59 passes for 801 yards and three touchdowns.
Bowe, a six-year veteran who was drafted in the first round by the Chiefs in 2007, is expected to become a free agent after the season.
To fill his roster spot before Sunday's game against Oakland, the Chiefs promoted guard Rich Ranglin from the practice squad.
