The Philadephia Union nabbed a 1-0 away win over the Chicago Fire thanks to a Jack McInerney goal 15 minutes from time.
After a scorless first 75 minutes, Philadelphia scored against the run of play. Sebastien Le Toux took a quick free kick before the Fire were ready. McInerney zipped between the central defenders and scored his league-leading seventh goal of the season.
McInerney moves ahead of Mike Magee and Claudio Bieler, each with six, in the Golden Boot race.
