Josh McCown had a big night through the air, leading the way to a solid victory for the Bears over the Cowboys, 45-28, at home.
A superb performance for McCown was capped by five touchdowns (4 pass, 1 rush) on 27 of 36 passing for 348 yards and no interceptions. On the Cowboys side, Tony Romo went 11 for 20 with 104 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Matt Forte was a standout player for the Bears, rushing for 102 yards on 20 attempts in addition to seven receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown. Alshon Jeffery was a top receiver, catching five balls for 84 yards with a touchdown.
The Chicago defense managed to contain the passing game, but could not slow down the rushing attack, allowing 144 yards passing and 198 rushing. They brought down Romo for two sacks.
Lastly, Robbie Gould was perfect, hitting all three of the field goals he attempted.
Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray provided some spark with 146 yards rushing.
The Bears head to Cleveland next week to face off with the Browns (4-9) while the Cowboys will play host to the Packers (6-6).
