ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Anthony Stitt and Canyon Barry each scored 14 points, Adjehi Baru recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and College of Charleston defeated Cal State Fullerton 61-48 in the seventh-place game of the Wooden Legacy on Sunday afternoon.

Joe Chealey chipped in 12 points to give the Cougars four starters in double figures. Charleston (3-5) led by at least seven points the entire second half to record its first-ever win over a Big West Conference opponent.

Baru also had five blocks to go with his double-double and Willis Hall pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for the Cougars.

The Titans (2-6) made just 18 of 58 field goals, a season-low 31 percent. Michael Williams scored 14 points and was the only Fullerton player to reach double-digits in scoring.

Fullerton also shot just 58 percent (7 of 12) from the free throw line and was 5 of 20 from 3-point range.

It was a much-needed victory for Charleston after it lost the first two games of the tournament by 20 and 22 points, respectively. It was the Cougars' first victory away from home all year.

Fullerton actually had more points in the paint, assist, and bench points and committed fewer turnovers, but a horrendous shooting performance prevented the Titans from being competitive. They went four minutes without a field goal three different times in the contest.

It was the second-straight game Fullerton was held under 50 points, after it managed just 46 in a loss to Miami on Friday.

Despite all of that, the Titans whittled a 12-point halftime deficit to 53-46 with just under five minutes remaining, but the Charleston clamped down and allowed just one field goal down the stretch to extinguish any hopes of a comeback.

Barry, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry, made three of four free throws down the stretch using an underhand style reminiscent of his dad to help ice the game. Stitt scored nine of his points in the final eight minutes to help seal it as well.

The Cougars held a 35-23 halftime lead thanks in large part to strong run to end the first half. They led just 17-14 with six minutes left in the first half, but reeled off an 18-9 run to take a double-digit lead into the locker room. Baru scored 11 points in the first half alone, including a layup at the buzzer.
