Keenan Allen had a big day receiving, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss for the Chargers against the Broncos, 24-17 in Denver. With the loss, San Diego is knocked out of the playoffs.
Philip Rivers accounted for two touchdowns on 18 of 27 passing for 217 yards and no interceptions. Peyton Manning completed 25 of 36 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns and one pick for the Broncos.
Ryan Mathews ran for 26 yards on five carries. Allen was a top performer, snagging six balls for 142 yards with two scores.
The San Diego defense surrendered 133 yards rushing and 230 passing.
Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno churned out 82 yards rushing, 12 receiving and one touchdown. Tight end Julius Thomas also put together a noteworthy performance with 76 receiving yards.
