Chargers retain Windt, Novak
The San Diego Chargers announced Saturday that they re-signed veteran long-snapper Mike Windt and the National Football Post reported that they re-signed kicker Nick Novak.
Both deals are for four years.
Windt has been the Chargers long snapper since 2010. He has played in 37 games during that span. A broken hand ended his season last year against the Denver Broncos in Week 11.
Novak's deal is reportedly worth $6.6 million. It includes a $1.5 million signing bonus. Only $1.125 million of his salary will count against this season's cap.
Novak made 18 of 20 field goals in 2012.
