Chargers lose two more players to injuries

Defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin and safety Brandon Taylor joined a long list of San Diego players on injured reserve Wednesday.

Franklin has missed three of the Chargers' past six games because of a knee injury. He started eight of the team's first nine games this season.

Taylor, a rookie, suffered a knee injury in his first career start last Sunday in the win over the New York Jets.

The Chargers now have have 17 players on injured reserve.

Assigned to the active roster from the practice squad were rookie safety Sean Cattouse and rookie cornerback Greg Gatson for the final regular-season game Sunday against Oakland.

The Chargers also added rookie cornerback Arthur Hobbs and rookie tight end Anthony Miller to the practice squad after losing fullback Jamie McCoy, who was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers' active roster.
