Chargers cut Le'Ron McClain

The San Diego Chargers made the decision to release fullback Le'Ron McClain on Tuesday, according to a report from the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The report states that the Chargers will save $2.5 million in cap space as a result.

McClain, a versatil fullback, only started two games for the Chargers in 2013. Primarily a lead-blocker during his career, McClain ran for 908 yards with the Ravens in 2008 due to injuries that placed him in the lead running back role.

McClain will become an unrestricted free agent immediately.
