Chandler Parsons scored 17 and the Houston Rockets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 93-86. Houston (10-5) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
Parsons went 8-9 from the field, in a quality offensive outing. Other key performers for Houston were Dwight Howard with 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Terrence Jones with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Despite the loss, Tayshaun Prince scored 16 points for Memphis on 7-10 shooting. Zach Randolph contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds and Mike Conley finished with 10 points and 10 assists.
The offense of Houston won the rebounding battle, as two elite units collided. They finished the contest with an OR% of 34.4%, and rank fifth in the NBA in that category on the season (28.5%). The defense of Memphis collects rebounds at a rate of 76.1%, good for fifth in the league in DR%.
Memphis (7-7) has now dropped consecutive games after losing to San Antonio on Friday.
