Chad Johnson can cross Seahawks off his list

The Seattle Seahawks signed Antonio Bryant, Braylon Edwards and Terrell Owens in an effort to find a big, veteran receiver to replace the released Mike Williams. But don't expect head coach Pete Carroll to pick up the phone and see if Chad Johnson wants to come to the Pacific Northwest.

Johnson was released by the Dolphins the day after being arrested following an argument in which his wife claims he head-butted her in their driveway Saturday night.

"No, I think we're pretty well settled with what we're doing here," Carroll told ESPN's 'NFL 32,' per ProFootballTalk.com. "That's not going to happen here. No."

The Seahawks released Bryant, but Carroll has been pleased with what he has seen from Edwards and Owens to date.

"Braylon Edwards has played great for us in practice, and he did a beautiful job in the game, so he's starting to make an impact," Carroll said. "And then we thought Terrell might have a chance to make an impact as well, and we worked him out, and he was phenomenal. He's right in the middle of everything, practicing hard, competing every day."
