Cezar Ferreira Defeats Sergio Moraes to Win TUF Brazil: Immediate UFC 147 Fan Reaction

The co-main event of UFC 147 featured the middleweight finals of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil featuring Cezar Ferreira and Sergio Moraes. Moraes was an injury replacement for the finals and was looking to make the best of his second chance. He came into the show with a 6-1 record, while Ferreira had a 4-2 record prior to entering the TUF house.

    First Round

To open the fight, Ferreira showed what his best chance at winning would be with his standup game. He landed some high-power strikes on Moraes as he used his height and reach to attack. As the round continued, Moraes showed sporadic success in the standup game, but I don't know if it was enough to win him the round.

    My scorecard: Ferreira 10-9

    Second Round

To open the round, Ferreira moved forward, forcing Moraes to attempt to pull guard. He was unsuccessful and was then rocked by Ferreira and hit with ground and pound strikes. The fight made it back to the feet and Moraes landed an incredible elbow to rock his opponent.

    My scorecard: Moraes 10-9

    Third Round

In the final round, both fighters moved forward but it was Ferreira who made the most of his chances to cause pain to Moraes.

    My scorecard: Ferreira 10-9

Official Decision: Cezar Ferreira via unanimous decision.
