CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) -- Blake Hibbitts scored 15 points and drilled a clutch 3-pointer with 13 seconds left in the game to spark Central Michigan's 68-64 win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Tuesday.
The Chippewas had a nine-point lead evaporate midway through the second half and the Islanders took a 64-62 lead on a 3-pointer by Jelani Currie with :25 left.
Hibbits answered with a 3-point basket to put Central Michigan up, 65-64. Austin Keel converted a pair of free throws with five seconds left and Rayshawn Simmons hit the first of two for the final margin of victory.
Zane Knowles led the Islanders (3-5) with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jeff Beverly contributed another 10 points.
