Cazorla expects tight PL title race
Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla believes the club is on the cusp of ending its eight-year trophy drought and has backed Arsene Wenger's side to push on and secure silverware next season.

The Gunners are moving quickly to strengthen ahead of the new campaign and are on the verge of sealing a move for Gonzalo Higuain having already activating Marouane Fellaini's release clause.

Cazorla believes the future is looking bright for the north London outfit and sees no reason why the club cannot stop the slide of recent years and challenge for honors following their stunning form in 2013.

"When the team does not win and we do not get the results we want, the collective confidence does drop a little and that is natural," the Spain international was quoted in the Daily Star. "Now we have put in a spectacular run-in and you can see the difference in mentality. We have great players. I am sure we will be a better team and improve.

"This season we hope we can be even better and win trophies and the supporters can enjoy it. That is what Arsenal really wants."

Cazorla scored 12 goals and added a further 12 assists in his maiden season in the Premier League following his 19 million euros move from Malaga last summer.
