Cleveland Cavaliers forward/center, the NBA's leading rebounder, will miss a fourth consecutive game due to a bruised right knee.
The team announced on its website that Varejao would not travel for the Wednesday game against the Wizards in Washington.
Varejao is averaging a league-best 14.4 rebounds, plus 14.1 points, in 25 games this season. The Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph is a distant second with an average of 12.8 rebounds per game.
Varejao hasn't played since he posted 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Toronto Raptors on Dec. 18. That represented his 16th double-double of the season.
The 30-year-old Brazilian is in his ninth NBA season, all with the Cavaliers. He set career highs last season when he averaged 10.8 points and 11.5 rebounds.
