Cavs' Scott, Celtics' Wilcox fined $25,000 each

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott and Boston Celtics forward Chris Wilcox were fined $25,000 apiece by the NBA on Sunday for separate incidents.

Scott was fined for public criticism of officiating following Cleveland's loss to the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Friday. The Cavs had nine free throw attempts in the game, and Minnesota had 35.

"I'm trying to figure out a way to say this without getting fined," Scott said of the officiating. "It was that bad. It really was. It was that bad. I mean I understand we're playing in Minnesota, but 35-9, we went to the basket just as much as they did. I think we had 38 attempts in the paint to their 34, we get nine free throws, I think that speaks for itself."

Wilcox received his fine for making an obscene gesture to fans during Friday's game against the 76ers. It occurred during a timeout with 8:47 remaining in the fourth quarter.
