Adriano Galliani has fueled speculation over a swap deal involving AC Milan's Antonio Cassano and Inter's Giampaolo Pazzini, by admitting that an exchange is the most likely outcome for the player's departure.
It has been suggested that the Italy international will be used as part of a deal to bring in Pazzini from Inter, and the Milan chief executive admitted that talks are ongoing.
"I will not deny something is stirring. Cassano asked us to be sold. The most likely solution is a swap," Galliani admitted in a press conference. "There are negotiations in place. There is no doubt about that and we will see. As with all negotiations, they can conclude positively or negatively."
The comments came in the wake of the Rossoneri's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Juventus in the Berlusconi Trophy this weekend, of which Cassano did not play a part.
