Real Madrid youngster Casemiro has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo's positive influence at the Santiago Bernabeu and feels the Portugal international is a prime example to follow.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Madrid from Sao Paulo in January 2013, and he has made it clear that Ronaldo's support has helped him adapt to his new surroundings in the past few months.
"He’s one of my best mates at the club. He loves Brazil and he gets on very well with the Brazilians. He’s a 10-out-of-10 guy, and he’s always been there to help me out," the 21-year-old Casemiro told UOL. "Not to mention the fact that he’s an example to everyone. He is always early for training and gives everything for his club."
Casemiro then went on to stress that he is very happy with life at Madrid and is keen to make a name for himself at the Spanish power.
"I’m very happy. This is my first year in Spain, and I’m enjoying some great experiences, playing frequently and learning every day," Casemiro said. "However, I keep my feet on the ground, and I know that I need to keep on working every day to win the confidence of everyone at the club."
The midfielder has made three appearances in La Liga so far this season.
